Almost all areas are serviceable however an additional day for transit should be allowed for remote locations. Please call us for more information regarding daily cut off times for your area.

We accept digital impression from any intraoral scanning system capable of producing 3D images in STL file format. Including major scanner brands Planmeca (E4D) Planscan™, 3M™ TrueDefinition Scan, Cadent iTero™, Carestream CS. Oceanic Dental also provides printing and milling services for all other open platforms.
If you are unsure whether your scanner can produce STL files, please contact your scanner provider or manufacturer for clarification.
Scans for other scanners can be sent to Oceanic via DropBox*. The general process includes the following steps.

In order to send digital impressions from 3Shape TRIOS® intraoral scanner to Oceanic Dental Laboratory, a connection between the scanner and us has to be established via 3Shape Communicate as following:
Our Principle technicians are available to assist with shade taking at your practice. This service is complementary in for Platinum range cases and available for a small fee for Value range cases. We recommend using the Vitapan 3d Master Shade guide.
We also offer integrated Dropbox communication services for archiving of patient shade records free of charge. You can maintain your patient shade information or notes on our server for access for future cases or just general record keeping.

Oceanic Dental Laboratory is committed to building a tailored service to our partnering dentists. Our local Principal technicians are available for assistance with shade taking, case planning, consults on treatment options or material selection. Our technicians are also available for inserts and try-ins where requested in Perth’s metropolitan area.

Oceanic Dental Laboratory understands that dentists need a quality service delivered on time.
As a general rule of thumb please allow 2 weeks between patient appointments. We are able to complete cases on shorter/emergency time frames upon request.

There are indications and limitations to the various restorative materials on offer, in addition to new products entering the market over time. It is difficult for the Laboratory to manage the aesthetic outcome of a case where insufficient room for materials is given. Oceanic Dental provides a consulting service on material selection and innovations in materials upon request.

The integration of photographics from the Clinic to the Laboratory via Oceanics Dental’s dropbox network ensures the optimum aesthetic outcome for dental cases. Ensuring shade tabs are visible with specific characterisations identified optimises the final product. Explicit instructions on the lab prescription form are essential.
